Back from my blogging hiatus

I really have no good excuses for not blogging for the past 7 or so months. I logged into our blog for the first time today and so enjoyed reading over past posts that I have decided to attempt to summarize the events from my absence. A lot has happened and our lives have changed quite a bit so I want to document the transition. Here goes nothing!
